Patient Participation Group

The Aims of the Patient Participation Group

The Hartshill Medical Centre has for many years had a Patient Representative who would feed back patients’ views and comments to the surgery, attend surgery meetings and took an active role in the recruitment of a new GP. This was expanded in 2012 to become a Patient Participation Group.  We  have 16 members made up of patients and surgery representatives (ages ranging between 45 years and 80 years) attending meetings held on a quarterly basis.

We are keen that our group represents as many of our different groups of patients as possible however we currently have the required number of members.  Anyone wishing to join should advise reception accordingly or alternatively join our virtual group, see our on-line registration form below.

In light of the current covid outbreak, meetings will be taking place via Microsoft Teams for the foreseeable future.

Virtual Patient Group

This is a group of patients who are willing to comment or contribute to future plans of the surgery but are unable to attend the meetings.

We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.

We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long-term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.

If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please click the link opposite to open the sign-up form and complete all the fields.
